Kirk Yeager is currently a chief explosives scientist at the FBI laboratory in Quantico Virginia. He has a BS in chemistry from Lafayette college and a PHD in organic chemistry from Cornell University.
He started with the FBI in 2000. He has worked as a Physical Scientist/Forensic Examiner in the FBI Laboratory’s Explosives Unit, including deployment to bombing scenes worldwide .

- Boston Marathon bombing (2013)
- 1993 World Trade Center bombing
- 1995 Oklahoma City bombing
- 2002 Bali nightclub bombings
- 2016 Brussels bombing
