IPCA President's Council Member "Creek Run" has been listed as one of the top 20 Small Businesses to Watch.

Creek Run represents 11 counties throughout Indiana and was selected for what the state says is "exceptional" growth and the potential for additional future grown. Montpelier-based Creek Run LLC Environmental Engineering Chief Operating Office and founder, Jason Lenz says the company currently employs 45 workers and has doubled in size and revenue over the last five years.

Creek Run has offices in Blackford, Marion and LaPorte counties. Lenz says the Indianapolis office was set up to help boost lure better talent to the more than 20-year-old company. Like many other companies in rural parts of the state, Lenz says attracting and retaining top talent is difficult, but he has found success.

The list includes businesses that employ between six and 150 full-time workers. The companies' annual revenue or capital couldn't have exceeded $100 million at the time of selection. Fifty qualified nominees were submitted in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, administrative services and construction.

Like many companies on the list, Lenz says much of Creek Run's growth can be attributed to dealing with regional, often Indiana-based businesses. In his company's case, those partners include Anderson-based Anderson-based Ricker Oil Co., Jay Petroleum Inc. in Portland, Valparaiso-based Family Express and Bellman Oil Co. of Bremen.

Last year alone, the state says the 2015 class created a combined 148 jobs in 2014. They will be honored August 27 during a ceremony in Indianapolis.

IPCA would like to congratulate Creek Run on their success and thanks them for their support as a President's Council member.
